This was, by far, the most difficult MLO to have worked through. I am extremely thankful to my professors for aiding and supporting our research projects. Through the courses taken below, I was able to develop and proceed with the Capstone project.
JAPN 403 was extremely beneficial due to how the professor explained the process of researching for Capstone. Through diagrams, past sempai examples and special guest lecturers, they were able to support us in our Capstone research. After selecting a topic, we were able to develop our research questions and, thanks to our librarian, find the sources we needed to proceed with making our English presentation. The support system through this course reminded me of when I worked on my senior project in high school - except in this case, we were able to work with partners.
In JAPN 404, we primarily focused on developing our writing skills in order to complete the Japanese portion of our Capstone. Reminiscent of the speech class I took while studying abroad in Japan, the lessons in which the correct essay grammar was discussed was a nice refresher. Fulfilling MLO 4.2, we were able to write our Japanese paper and script for our presentation.
In WLC 400, I worked with a partner on a weekly basis for our Capstone project . During each week, we were able to discuss our ideas with our advisors in order to progress in the project.
